While putting the finishing touches on my Go Green Tote, I realized I
had a quite a bit of red fabric leftover, so I decided to make a quick
trip to Joann's Fabric Store to pick up some coordinating fabric to make
a zipper pouch, Kindle case, and sunglass pouch out of my scraps.
However, I've never learned how to sew on a zipper, but it wasn't as
bad as I thought it would be, I eventually figured it out. So, from
start to finish it only took me a couple of hours to complete my pouch
and it was so worth it because I made it. I can't wait to finish my
tote and start making my new Kindle case and sunglass pouch. When I'm
done with my tote, I will post photos, so you can see how everything
For today's outfit I decided to wear a blouse I purchased from Old Navy
several months ago off their clearance rack for $6. However, after
buying it for whatever reason I didn't think that I had anything in my
closet to pair with it, so it hung in my closet all summer. On Sunday I
decided to take out my two strand twists and I thought what better day
to wear my blouse than on Monday, I knew with my big afro, my blouse and
pair of shoes I'd have that 70's theme going on. Of course while
taking pictures my oldest son tells me I look like I'm from the 70's
with my outfit and big afro. HA!!
So I decided to pair my blouse with bootcut jeans, brown sandals and
hobo by Onna Ehrlich which by the way will be on sale tomorrow on Hautelook so you may want to stop by and check it out, and gold accessories.
Today I decided to wear a Gray Sleeveless Dress I purchased at Banana
Republic a couple of years ago, this dress literally hung in my closet
brand new with tags until this past April when I lost weight. On a
couple of occasions I almost gave it away to Goodwill and a consignment
shop, but for whatever reason I couldn't. However, after losing my
weight I was able to fit into it, I so happy I didn't give it away;)
Although this is my second time wearing my dress, I wanted to wear it
again for my blog and before the weather changed. So I decided to pair
my Gray Sleeveless Dress with a black skinny belt, gray suede pumps, a
pink flower pin, black handbag and silver watch.
